Teaching Algebra: A workshop for Homeschooling Parents

A workshop designed for parents who are about to teach algebra or already are! During the 2-hour session, we will discuss what topics your child should be confident in before starting algebra, how to teach abstract concepts, specific methods and techniques for introducing algebraic concepts, and an outline for the sequence of teaching algebra.

A workshop designed for parents who are trying to improve their student’s reading comprehension and memory in any subject area! We will discuss how to use the Orton-Gillingham method to aid in achieving your literacy comprehension goals, create visual and physical tools as memory prompts in place of writing, and how to design a multi-sensory approach to teaching.

A workshop designed for parents of High-schoolers or soon-to-be high-schoolers! During this 2-hour session, we will cover how to assign grades, use rubrics, calculate letter grades and GPAs from assignment number grades, keep records of grades and physical evidence of work, and write transcripts!
