About Gibeon
Gibeon Education is a private education company founded on the belief that students need more than raw knowledge. Students need to develop their critical thinking to be able to apply their knowledge as well as to build a toolbox of appropriate skills to put it into practice. Gibeon Education aims to develop students with an understanding of the world and the wisdom to apply that knowledge.
About Emily
Emily is the founder of Gibeon Education and a tutor. She graduated in 2022 with a B.S. in chemistry and a B.S. in neuroscience. She is currently studying at Liberty University with the hopes of graduating soon with a Masters of Teaching in Secondary Education. Her experience teaching includes working as a teacher in middle-, high- and elementary school classrooms; assisting in chemistry teaching labs; and tutoring for five years. Emily has a passion for working with children to create usable and applicable knowledge of the world. She is enthusiastic about creating hands-on, interactive lessons for all ages.
About Tracey
Tracey is a tutor for Gibeon Education. She has a degree in Aeromechanical Engineering and a post-graduate certificate in teaching. Tracey is trained in the Orton Gillingham method of teaching reading and writing skills and has worked for the Michigan Dyslexia Association for a number of years. Tracey has 25 years of teaching experience, including public high school math and science, homeschool co-op, private tutoring, ACT/SAT prep, and dyslexia therapy. Tracey seeks to understand the strengths and weaknesses of her students and tailor her teaching style to meet their needs.
